HOW IT ALL BEGAN
November 2012
Chilton Village was promised money for an artwork for Chilton Field.
We began talking about it and set up a steering committee consisting of anyone interested in this project. People were invited to join via the Chronicle or this postcard which was popped through the doors of new residents. People were moving in all the time so Colin the Postman kept us updated as to who should be informed. (If anyone new did not get this it was an oversight!)

By June 2013 the committee had established what we envisaged:
 that the artwork should be:
  • High quality workmanship
  • Interactive
  • A meeting place
  • Encourage socialisation
  • A project that meets the approval of the village
  • Value for money and it should ...

  • Fit in with the landscape
  • Reflect the village history / roots
  • Bring both sides of the village together

August 2013
The project was advertised and  artists responded.

October 2013
Three artists were interviewed.
We are delighted to welcome Tim Norris as our chosen artist.
Please have a look at his website www.timnorris.co.uk to see his portfolio of artworks.

November 2013
We have planned a "Meet the Artist" event at the village hall for 17 January 2014
